“This is a hyper-personal song,” explained Danny O’Donoghue. “Earlier this year, I lost my mom. She passed away on February 8, 2019. We buried her on Valentine’s Day, the same day we buried my father, 12 years later. I guess the comparisons are disturbing, but when you are going through a very difficult time like that, there is only one thing that will make you overcome, and that are your friends and your family. Now I know who my friends are and now I know what the importance of life is; everything was brought into focus very clearly. It is a love letter open to those people who go beyond those in need. “
The release of “Sunsets & Full Moons” saw The Script add a new chapter to an already successful career. They have so far accumulated 6 billion streams, 30 million singles sold, 11 million albums sold, over 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify and 1.8 million tickets sold.

Two dates in Dublin and one in Belfast are already sold out. In the summer, they will return to the streets with outdoor concerts and festivals across Europe, including one of the greatest moments of their career at Cork’s Irish Independent Park.
