Mastro J dj/and producer from Puglia, Italy, in back on the scenes thanks to the track “Porque Te Vas”, cover of the Spanish hit by Jeanette of the 1974.
“Porque Te Vas”, written in the origin by Josè Luis Perales and produced by Rafael Trabucchielli, considered a pioneer of the music production in Spain and one of the most influential figure in the world of music between 1965 and 1975. While he was working for Hispavox, he developed what had been called as the “characteristic luxuriant sound of the Spanish ballads of the 70s, resulting from sophisticated orchestral arrangements and studio magic”.
“Porque te vas” it’s a romantic ballad which incorporates elements of funk, disco and pop music, with a predominant use of saxophone, A love song , which speaks of the pain of separation. The text speaks of an abandonment described as a sense of nostalgia . Jeanette starts singing: ” Hoy en mi ventana brilla el sol y the corazón se pone triste contemplando la ciudad, porque te vas” (“Today the sun shines in my window and the heart becomes sad contemplating the city, because you go away”).
Mastro J offers us “Porque te Vas” in a modern key , respecting the feelings of the original track which has over 26 milion streams. Previewed at ADE 2019, the single has already been streamed in Poland and Bulgaria.
